A delegation of our school attended the 49th Asia-Pacific Academic Consortium for Public Health (APACPH) Conference and won prize.

From August 17thto August 19th, the 49th Asia-Pacific Academic Consortium for Public Health Conference was held in Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea. The theme of the conference is“The age of changing models:the age of changing paradigm SDGs,new approachesfor public health”.There're 745 people from 29 countries attended this conference.Dr.HuJiming, Party Secretary of the party committee of our School of Health Sciences led a delegation to attend this conference. Vice Dean He Qiqiang,Professor Wang Peigangand other four faculties accompanied to attend the conference.12 master students and 15 undergraduate students attended the conference by making oral presentation or presenting posters.Ms.Nie Xiaofei,postgraduate student of grade 2013,who majoring in nursing and Ms.Gao Junxiao,undergraduate student of grade 2015, who majoring in preventive medicine,have won the "best oral presentation prize" and "best poster prize" respectively.

Dr.BanKi-moon,former secretary-general United Nation,made a keynote speech as a special invited guest. Professors from Yonsei University, Korea University,University of Tokyo, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, etc. made academic reports at the main sessions. The parallel sessions were about mental health, women's and children's health, health informatics,disaster relief, infectious diseases, tobacco control, environmental health, aging, health policy and economics, youth and children's healthetc.

With 2 teachers and 4 students makingoral presentations, the session of Wuhan University was hosted by Professor Wang Peigang.Oral presentations and poster presentation at other sessions were also highly praised by the experts with valuable suggestions given to students as well. Some foreign experts exchanged contact information with students for further communication.
